Calepini: what is that?
Calepini is a multilingual and multidimensional, interlinked and interactive dictionary.
- Multilingual: Translate from one of n (currently 11) languages to another.
- Multidimensional: This is the more interesting adjective. Traditional dictionaries arrange words in a linear one-dimensional space. Calepini lets you navigate a multidimensional space, allowing for a richer understanding of language. This means you can explore words not just through direct translations but also through related concepts, synonyms, antonyms, and usage examples.
- Interlinked: Words in Calepini are interlinked, creating a web of connections that helps users understand the relationships between different words and concepts. This interconnectedness makes it easier to grasp the subtleties and complexities of language.
- Interactive: Calepini offers an interactive experience where users can actively engage with the dictionary and navigate in their own way.
Our mission is not only to break down language barriers, but also to reveal the beauty, complexity and diversity of human language.
